LaurelCrest Partners Welcomes Josh Smith as Managing Partner

April 29, 2026 — LaurelCrest Partners today announced that Josh Smith has joined the firm as Managing Partner, alongside Matt Flynn. Josh will help lead the firm’s expanding focus on sourcing, structuring and operating businesses in the healthcare services arena.

Josh brings more than 25 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, and institutional investing, with deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions and the healthcare services domain. Most recently, Josh spent 15 years as an M&A practitioner at BMO Capital Markets, culminating in his role as Managing Director and Head of Healthcare M&A at BMO Capital Markets in New York, advising on a broad range of complex public and private transactions for financial sponsors and healthcare services companies.

At LaurelCrest, Josh will work alongside Founder Matt Flynn and the broader partnership to originate proprietary investment opportunities, structure institutional quality transactions and collaborate with management teams to drive operational and strategic value creation, His extensive experience and sector knowledge will further strengthen LaurelCrest’s capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for its investors and partners.
