Matthew J. Flynn

Matt Flynn is an investment professional with 20+ years of experience in capital markets and private investing. He began his career at a boutique investment bank in Toronto before spending nearly a decade at Morgan Stanley. Immediately prior to founding LaurelCrest Partners in 2019, he was a Managing Director at a well-established Investment Firm in Toronto prior to its acquisition by Private Equity. Mr. Flynn holds a BA (History) from Cornell University and a JD and MBA from York University. Mr. Flynn has sat on numerous private and not-for-profit boards, including the boards of LOFT Community Services, Upper Canada College, The Sterling Hall School, and Opera on the Avalon. From 2022-2025 he served as a Warden at Grace Church-On-the-Hill and he has served as President of the Toronto-St Paul’s Conservative EDA. He continues to be very active in the Community, sitting on the board of St. Hilda’s Senior Community as well several other not-for-profit and private boards.
