Josh Smith is a Managing Partner and member of the investment committee at LaurelCrest Partners, based in Toronto. Josh has more than 25 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking and institutional investing, with specific experience supporting investments and M&A transactions in the healthcare services, business services and technology sectors. Prior to joining LaurelCrest Partners, Josh spent 15 years as an M&A practitioner with BMO Capital Markets, where he was most recently Managing Director and Head of Healthcare M&A based in New York. Josh’s M&A career includes advising on successful transactions totaling more than $50 billion across public and private spheres, with particular focus on the North American Healthcare Services sector. Josh started his career in investing and wealth management with AIM Trimark (now Invesco) after studying economics and electrical engineering at Queens University. Josh is also a CFA charterholder.
